2nd Draft Tips

Hello everyone! I recently completed the first draft of my very first novel, and have it out to some trusted "alpha" readers at the moment. I scratched out some scenes for a potential second book, but am now on a bit of a break while the alpha readers wrap up. So far the feedback is promising - lots of room to improve but there are good bits to learn from as well.

I'm curious - what are some must-do items as part of writing a second draft? There was a good thread on editing vs re-writing...
